Veneti's Manifesto
- With the expression “Popolo Veneto” (Venetian People) we mean the community of individuals who are aware of sharing a common historical, cultural, ethnolinguistic heritage and recognize each other as a part of the Venetian Nation.
- We consider all Venetian People’s natural and inalienable rights to self-determination and self-government, that is to say the freedom of the Venetians to decide and to create everything concerning their identity and destiny, concentrating the political action on the protection of their culture.
- Since the collapse of Venetian Repubblica Serenissima our country has been a victim of colonial treatment with a sequence of historical events marked out by a constant ethical, moral, social and economical decline. We resolve to remove such negative effects by promoting the independence of the Venetian Nation.
- We recognize the historical and cultural common values shared by the people of Repubblica Serenissima and we affirm our right to share the desire of freedom and the respect of the distinctiveness of every single group of people.
- We believe that the political course aiming at re-establishing the supremacy of Venetian People could no more be achieved through statual constitutional reforms. We consider essential for this purpose the use of juridical means of international value and particularly of the principle of people’s self-determination.
- We claim the city of Venice, which is the most beautiful city in the world, as capital of all the Venetians.
- The moral and political rebirth of Venetian people is connected to the individual willingness to regain possession of personal identity as a part of Venetian People, which runs the risk of becoming extinct.
